2023 IMPROV INTENSIVE!!!
When? Thursday through Saturday, 28 December through 30 December.
Where? In sunny Los Angeles, California, in the Mar Vista neighhborhood. It's on the Westside of the city, near Culver City and Venice.
Who? Well, you! This is for folks with some improv experience, aged 18+ Sorry, newbies!
Can you give me an overall view of what's happening? Great question! This is an in person improv intensive taught by me. We will spend 3 days working various improv muscles.
The intensive itself runs from Thursday, 28 December through Saturday, 30 December. We will work on both skills you mention to me that you would like to develop. I'll also be on the lookout for skills to work on with you. Will we do warm ups, short form games and long form scenes, with some medium form in there as well.

During our lunch break, we will have a few LA improv guests stop by to tell you about their experience and offer some words of advice. You can either bring a lunch, walk to one of the nearby lunch places, or we can place a delivery order that day.

There will be at least one evening where you can watch some real masters of the craft perform their style of improv.
​
And yes, you will also have a performance demonstrating what you learned.

My wife and I would love to have you at our home for a welcome dinner, which will be Wednesday 27 December at 6:30pm.
Additionally, there will be a brunch/pool party after the intensive on Sunday, 31 December from 10a-1p, so bring your swimwear!

How much? $600.

Is there a payment plan available? Absolutely. You can pay all the way up to the start of the intensive. Frequently people pay the deposit then $100 or $200/month. Reach out to me to set up the plan.

How many students? 14 at the most.

What's your vaccination policy? If you have been vaccinated and boosted, then you are welcome to come play! If you have not, then this isn't the class for you.

What's your cancelation policy? What, you're canceling already? I hope you don't have to cancel, since you will be taking one of the limited spots AND I know things happen. If you have to cancel, just talk to me and we will figure it out.

Can I give my spot to someone else if I can't make it? This should be fine, as long as that person has some experience improvising. Just let me know!

Are there topics off limits? Are you going to censor me? Yep.
I ask that you play to the height of your intelligence and make smart choices. If you want to be able to say whatever you want without any consequences, then this isn't the workshop for you.

Are there things to do in your neighborhood? You bet! If you want to extend your trip, I will be glad to give you some recommendations.

Where can I stay? Hotels and Airbnbs are around $200-$250/night USD. If you are interested in sharing the cost with another person(s), let me know and I'll connect you with someone who would be up for that.
